There was a time when everyone thought that Sony Online Entertainment’s upcoming FreeRealms would be the MMO to end all others. Okay, so maybe that never happened, but it could be further from happening with the news that “Free” Realms now has a Premium Membership subscription option.
Players willing to give up a mere $5 each month will gain access to some of the games extra benefits. Among those are 5 jobs – archer, medic, weaponsmith, and ninja. There will be leaderboard rankings for the competitive players, and 400 bonus items and quests. You’ll also be able to play as up to 3 characters, probably not simultaneously.
The open beta hits PC next month, while the PS3 release date is still yet to be announced.
