Mirror’s Edge 2D kinks finally flattened out

ME 2d

A long time ago, we reported that a Mirror’s Edge flash game was in it’s beta stage. It was in beta, but nearly perfect. Nearly. There were definitely many glitches to be had and such. Since then, the game’s developers have been working with EA and Dice to perfect their web game. If you liked Mirror’s Edge and are a fan of flash-based web games, you’ll be in for a treat.

Today, Mirror’s Edge 2D’s lead designer, Brad Borne, announced that the game would be dropping its beta label and finally joining the finished games crowd. It will feature running, ducking, sliding, jumping, climbing, and wallrunning. As well as those great features, it will also have a time trial mode, three playable levels, leaderboards, and a promise of future content. For those of you that don’t have much time on your hands to play through the depth of the game, collecting everything, you’ll be able to make an account and save/load your game.

Even though this just seems to be a big marketing scheme strategy for the upcoming sequel to Mirror’s Edge (I know they have it up their sleeves), it’s still a great game. Go try it already!
