PSN Down for Maintenance, 2.50 Firmware Updating

engineer

Earlier this week, we received news on Sony’s next firmware update for our beloved PS3. Today,  Joystiq has reported that the PSN would be down for maintenance between 11 AM and 4 PM. It probably hasn’t impacted US gamers much with it being during work and school hours, but European gamers will have to find something to do for a few hours. What exactly are they doing for 5 hours, you ask? They were calling it “Essential Maintenance,” but have later announced that firmware 2.5 will be available tomorrow, so that’s probably what they’re up to.

The maintenance time will be over in a little less than an hour, so you’ll all be able to get back to building your dispensers, or whatever it is you people do. And, look on the bright side, at least they won’t be down for 24 hours!
