Rumor Mill: Assassins Creed 2

Thanks to a PlayStation.Joystiq reader named James we may have some details on Assassins Creed 2. James claims that he has seen very early footage of the game and says it looks similar, but set around the 15th century which is a few hundred years after the first game.

After the footage played, there was a Q&A session where it was revealed the story would incorporate a family feud and disguises would play a part in the game.

Honestly; where does this James guy go? Anyways, it was said that each focus tester was asked to decide on their favorite of three character designs. Each had different colored costumes, all being quite similar to that of Altair’s.

Under each image was the word "ezio," an Italian name derived from the word for "eagle." Fitting, for the series.

James also claims to have seen the protagonist swimming during the video which was played. If true, this rumor can be very believable for the simple fact that we have heard that Altair has learned to swim since the opening of the series. Also stated, he can now “use gunpowder to propel items at people.” Those participating in the focus test indicated that we may see more on this at this year’s E3 and will be out late this year, early next. Guess we’ll have to wait until E3 to find out.
