Final Fantasy XIII Demo to be PS3 Exclusive

Were you one of the many PS3 owners who felt betrayed by Square Enix’s decision to port the game to the Xbox 360? Worry not, scorned gamer, because Squenix still has your back—kinda.

The very first playable demo of Final Fantasy XIII will be packaged with Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children Complete, which is a Blu-ray release. So, buy the movie, which wasn’t too bad, and get a playable demo of the game. Things could be worse, fellas.

The movie currently has a March, 2009 release date. That’s for Japan, mind you, as a U.S. release date hasn’t been announced yet.

In the meantime, Squenix fans, why not put your DS to good use, and play all those re-releases the company has been coming out with every 20 minutes? Now would be a good time to finish Final Fantasy IV, for example.

  1. I got a PS3 last week and don't mind the 360 getting a release of FF13 too. I'm upset that they're delaying the PS3 version to have a simultaneous release though... the 360/PS3 feud continues.

If you don't have a 360 or PS3, you should probably check out this Stacker 2 contest going on. Chances are that if you're on this site you already own one too, but owning a 2nd one couldn't hurt. :P Right now there are less than 150 entrants so chances of winning are pretty decent. All you have to do is design a t-shirt and you get the system, a year's supply of 6 Hour Power energy shots, and more. Check out the contest details here: http://www.brickfish.com/Entertainment/Stacker2?tab=overview

Let me know if you enter and I'll vote for your design. FoRgOtN, I hope you don't mind my comment mentioning this. If you're interesting in writing a post about this contest so that readers have the chance to snag the PS3, send me an e-mail and I'll give you more info. Thanks.
